2007 Kimball Christmas Letter. The Deeper version
2007 from A to Z: Happy Holidays from the Kimballs
Back at home,Christian felt Blocked up and Bored.
C is for Cancer. Chris’s was bad.
D is for Dead which he isn’t. We’re glad!
E is for Evan, who’ll soon join the clan.
(Christina’s intended’s a wonderful man!)
F is for Folfox, a part of the brew
Of chemo, 6 months,
Which feels worse than the flu.
G is for Grateful for friends who sent cheer
And fam'ly who helped from afar and a-near.
H is for Holland, the lands of the Nether,
Where Chase served his mission in all kinds of weather.
H is also for Hamburg - we can’t forget Pete -
He’s serving the souls in the Deutsch Ruhrgebiet.
I is for IV, a liter per night,
So Chris’s hydration continues just right.
J is for Jesus, the Healer, Creator,
Restorer, Redeemer and Great Mediator.
K is for Krisis and Kourage and Kure.
We hope for that last one. As yet, we're not sure.
L is for Loving as well as we can.
Living abundantly's our current plan.
M is for Miracles, Mojo, & Meds.
N is for Needles and Napping in beds.
O is for Outdoors, its beauty and land.
(Our house in the mountains is nearly all planned!)
P is for Poetry - that healing art -
Reading and writing with friends taking part.
Q is for quarts of Ensure in our larder.
Nutritional balance without it is harder.
R’s for Release, for Relief and for Rest.
Serving as Prez for three years was the best.
S is for Sugarbaker, surgeon supreme:
15 hours on Chris with his specialist team!
T is for Time to sniff roses and dance
And hug one another while we’ve got the chance.
Bye-bye, Umbilicus. Farewell. Adieu.
U is for Us who are blessed to have U.
V is for Vows said way back in the day.
We're planning forever to keep it that way.
W's Writing. Such stories to tell!
